  1. 1.What is the value of Distance Counseling? Distance Counseling is an effective way to provide highly specialized forms of counseling over long distances by telephone or over the internet (through Skype).   This form of Counseling is ‘Location Independent’, enabling clients all over the world to bypass previous location limitations and receive services that would otherwise not be available to them.  Distance Counseling is also referred to as Technology-Assisted counseling, Online Counseling, Online Therapy, E-Therapy, E-Counseling, Online Therapy and Phone Counseling.  With The Liberator Method™ the Counselor covers any Long Distance Costs incurred.


  1. 2.Do you accept employee Flex Plans and health insurance?  Yes and no.  Yes, we accept employee Flex Plan benefit cards.  And no, our program is not covered by traditional health insurance.


  1. 3.Do you accept credit cards?  Yes, we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Flex Plan cards and checks.


4.How long are Personal Sessions?  Sessions are 55-60 minutes in length.

  1. 5.How do I know how many sessions I will need?  Approximately 65% of our clients achieve the results they initially intend through the standard “Liberator Method™ 10-week Program.”  Approximately 35% of our clients intend to achieve results that require a more advanced application of TLM’s principles.


  1. 6.What does The Liberator Method™ 10-week program include?  The Liberator Method™ 10-week Program includes: 10 Personal Counseling Sessions with a Liberator Method™ Certified Counselor (each session is a full 60 minutes), 4 Online Classes, 1 Listening CD, and a 10 Module Home Study Reading Course.

  2. 7.What does the 10-week program cost?  The fee for The Liberator Method™ 10-week Program is $995 U.S. Dollars.  The program may also be extended over 20 weeks. 


  1. 8.Do you offer payment plans?  Yes, we offer 4 Payment Options:

  2.   Option A:  Payment in full

  3.   Option B:  $497.50 billed 2x (once every 5 weeks) over the course of 10 weeks

  4.   Option C:  $199 billed 5x (once every 2 weeks) over the course of 10 weeks

  5.   Option D:  $199 billed 5x (once every 4 weeks) over the course of 20 weeks--with one session every two weeks


9. What are your policies, and what can I expect for confidentiality?

THE LIBERATOR METHOD™ COUNSELING AGREEMENT:  Policies and Confidentiality

I understand that information shared with my Counselor is completely confidential with the following exceptions based on the American Counseling Association ethics:
 

1.  If any participant threatens violence or harm to him/herself or to another person, my Counselor or a designated staff member will seek the appropriate assistance in an attempt to insure the safety of all concerned parties.

2.  My Counselor may be bound by law to report any suspicions of child, or dependent adult, abuse to the appropriate authorities.

3.  My Counselor will comply with any and all valid court orders including those to release confidential information.

4.  My Counselor regularly consults with other Liberator Method™ therapists for quality assurance purposes.  During this time he/she may discuss specific aspects of my sessions in order to insure the highest quality standards of application.  Notwithstanding, my identity will not be disclosed and the other consulting Counselors are bound by the same confidentiality as my Counselor.


Permission:  I understand that information of any kind about my sessions will not be released without my prior, written permission except as outlined above or as required by law.  I have been provided with, or have access to, detailed information regarding my rights to confidentiality and privacy.

Payment:  I understand that payment for each session is due by the time I receive the counseling service.

Emergencies:  In case of emergencies, I understand that it is my responsibility to contact 911 or my nearest hospital emergency room and follow the directions provided.  As a secondary resource, I understand that I may also call Agora Corporation offices at (503) 590-5995 to seek support as needed in case of emergency.  I understand that my Counselor may not be available by email or the Internet for emergency situations given his/her hourly commitments to other clients.     

Appointment Cancellation:  I understand that I am seen by appointment only.  In consideration of my Counselor’s time and work schedule, I understand and agree that any missed appointments, or cancellations I make less than one business day in advance of my scheduled time will incur a cancellation fee equal to the price of a Regular Individual Hourly Session ($100).

Medical Treatment:  I understand that Agora Corporation, The Liberator Method™ Rhonda Christensen, and other employees or subcontractors of Agora Corporation offer and perform services in the area of Counseling, Self Awareness, Self Improvement and Enhanced Communications, and that the process is non-diagnostic.  I also understand that The Liberator Method™ is not intended to be used in, or to be a replacement for, the medical treatment of any human illness, disease, injury, etc.  


  1. 10.What is the licensing status of The Liberator Method?  The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies has the general responsibility of regulating the practice of licensed psychologists, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed school psychologist practicing outside the school setting, licensed or certified addiction counselors, and unlicensed individuals who practice psychotherapy.  The founder of the Liberator Method is licensed to practice her proprietary method by the Mental Health Licensing Section of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as an unlicensed psychotherapist.  All Liberator Method Facilitators are Certified in the practice of this proprietary method through the Founder.  


  1. 11.Is the method affiliated with any organized religion?  No, TLM is not affiliated with any religion.  TLM is a method of psychotherapy that utilizes the principles of unconditional love, free agency, honesty, authenticity, being true to your word, and consciously saying what you mean to say to strengthen and develop the capacity to proactively and truly nurture yourself and others.  These longstanding principles have survived the test of time and are embodied in many cultures, religions and spiritual traditions.  TLM respects individual religious freedom and accepts and supports all clients within the context of their religious, or non-religious, belief systems.
